FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The cost of your move depends on several factors, including the volume of your household items, accessibility at the collection and delivery points, labour requirements, packaging and wrapping needs, truck size, and the distance of your move (local or cross-provincial).

If you have household insurance, you may already have cover for goods in-transit, however we advise that you check with your insurer to confirm. If you do not have household insurance, we recommend obtaining insurance from our trusted broker. This will ensure your valuables are protected against fire, collision, theft, hijacking, and overturning during transit.

The duration of your move depends on the volume of your belongings. Smaller loads typically take between 4 to 7 days for delivery, whereas larger loads are considered direct and can be delivered the next day or the following Monday, if the collection falls on a Friday or Saturday.

DOING YOUR OWN PACKING?

FOLLOW THESE EASY TIPS

PREPARING FOR MOVING DAY:

  1. To ensure a smoother loading process, try to gather all your furniture in one room or garage. This will also prevent accidental loading of furniture items you’re not taking with you.

  2. Make sure all household items are already boxed up.

  3. Disassemble all furniture and have it ready for collection to avoid unnecessary delays and additional charges.

PACKAGING TIPS:

  1. Avoid overpacking your boxes to the point where they become too heavy to carry, especially when packing books.

  2. Avoid using printed newspaper for wrapping, as the ink may smudge and transfer onto your items.

  3. When wrapping collectibles or fragile items, secure them with tape after wrapping to prevent them from being mistaken as excess packing material.

  4. Use bubble wrap or unprinted paper to wrap delicate items.

  5. Group similar items together and label the boxes accordingly.

  6. Disassemble items like tables and bed frames to save space.

  7. Wrap and label all pieces for easy reference when you need to reassemble them.
