Our goal is simple: to make your move as hassle-free and stress-free as possible. But we need a little help from your family!
Here are 10 dos and don’ts for prepping your home for team Migco to box and wrap your household contents.
1. Do empty drawers and appliances. We recommend clearing out fridges, dishwashers, cupboards and drawers to prevent damage or spillage during the move.

2. Don’t micromanage the experts. We are professionals and we can do this in our sleep. Plus, you’ve given us all the instructions we need, so let us.

3. Do secure parking for the moving truck. We love it when our clients think ahead and ensure there’s enough space near your home for the truck to park without hassle.

4. Don’t block access points. If you’re pre-packing boxes, try to keep high traffic areas like passages, stairs, and entrances free to allow for smooth and safe movement.

5. Do keep kids and pets out of the way. We love spending time with the littles, but it’s always best to arrange for them to be somewhere safe and out of the way.

6. Don’t forget to flag unusual items. Things like hazardous materials, perishable food, and plants might need to be moved separately or can’t be moved at all. So, let’s chat!

7. Do communicate with us. YES, we want to hear from you! Any information about heavy items, tight staircases, or any special requirements will help us move swiftly.

8. Don’t forget to check your quote. If there’s anything that’s not listed as part of the move, be sure to chat to us so we can move everything that needs to be moved.

9. Do let us take care of everything. If you don’t love packing up clothes or wrapping valuables for transport, remember – we do it ALL, just ask!

10. Don’t forget to defrost your freezer. It’s an easy thing to forget, but it takes time. Plus, melted ice can leak and cause a mess in the truck or damage your items.
