4 WAYS TO SIMPLIFY YOUR HOUSEHOLD MOVE

Moving can be stressful! But with a bit of preparation and the right moving company (*cough* MIGCO *cough cough*) on your side, it can be a breeze!

#2 Defrost your fridge and freezers
Defrosting your fridge and freezers in advance ensures that there is no excess water or ice to deal with on moving day. This helps prevent any potential messes and water damage to other items. A defrosted fridge is also lighter, which makes it easier and faster for our team to load and unload.

#3 Dismount and disassembly

While we do offer a disassembly service, it does come at an additional cost. So, by dismounting things like TVs and artwork, and disassembling bulky furniture pieces, you can save time and money in the process. Because you ultimately pay for the space you use in the truck, a disassembled piece saves space in the truck, plus it’s easier and faster to move the piece through tight spaces.

#4 Empty all cupboards and drawers
Have you checked every cupboard and shelf? Very often, a client will forget about a cupboard and then incur extra charges on the day when it needs to be packed and moved. We also recommend clearing out freestanding chests of drawers and cupboard that need to be moved, as we cannot move items that are still full of clothes, crockery, etc.

When you’re ready, give us a shout and let’s move your house!
